Now for the door. My first step is to cut a rebate in some more oak I have prepared. I'll do this over on the tablesaw. You can see the area to be cut out, i've shaded it in - Just for you !

I set my tablesaw up to cut the first part. Please note, I've had to remove my guard to perform this operation. Please read my disclaimer before you do the same.

ALWAYS use a push stick !

Here I am making the second pass. After this pass a small section will have been removed.

Please read my Disclaimer

Here is my rebate. I have rebated a long length of timber. This is MUCH safer on the tablesaw than doing shorter bits (i.e. - The parts for the door)
I'm going to use half lap joints to join the 4 door parts together. This is the size the door will be when i've finally finished. For a specific how to guide on the lap joint click here
Here we are at the tablesaw roughing out the lap joint. Again i've taken the guard off and would like you to read my disclaimer before you do the same ! After doing this I will clean it out with a chisel.
Here i'm applying my glue to the joint. I'm using the same foaming poly gorilla glue as I did earlier !
Lot's of clamps ! The way to clamp this is clam it in 3 directions. Side to side, front to back and pressure downwards on each of the joins.
Again, i'm removing all of the hardened foam with a nice SHARP chisel !

Here (With my guard back on) I'm cutting the thing wood for the panel which will sit in the rebate. The panel is made of solid cherry. I like the contrast of the 2 colours.
